The Hero’s Journey – interactive hike

Experiential Mythological Journey Sveta Gora, route through the tunnels The Hero’s Journey is an experiential walk along the paths, trenches and First World War caverns of Sveta Gora, lasting up to approximately two hours. In small groups, participants pass through twelve stations based on the stages of the hero’s journey described by mythologist Joseph Campbell. Along the way, they encounter performers, listen to myths and stories, and take part in simple interactive tasks. Visitors are not merely spectators, but active participants, connecting mythological stories with their own experiences and roles in life. The walk combines theatrical storytelling, mythology, nature, and the history of the caverns and trenches of Sveta Gora. The project continues the following day with the experiential workshop Exploring Life Roles at Xcenter Nova Gorica. The workshop represents the final stage of The Hero’s Journey, but is also a fully independent event and can be attended without taking part in the walk.
